Del. Jeff Campbell (R-Smyth County) Joins More than 20 Conservative Leaders from Southwest Virginia to Endorse Pete Snyder for Governor of Virginia

The Mother Load: Conservative leaders cite Pete’s support for law enforcement and conservative values as key to winning in November

Charlottesville, VA – Conservative outsider and Republican candidate for governor of Virginia Pete Snyder announced today endorsements from Delegate Jeff Campbell (R – VA- 6) and more than 20 other key conservative leaders and elected officials from Southwest Virginia.

Snyder said, “For too long, Southwest Virginia has been ignored by the establishment and career politicians in Richmond. When I’m Governor, all that ends. I’m proud to have the endorsements of this huge and influential array of local leaders and humbled by the outpouring of support from across the Commonwealth. For over a decade, Burson, Bee, and I have built deep relationships and tons of friends in this glorious part of our Commonwealth.  We were proud to stand with y’all and help save dozens and dozens of small businesses in Southwest when the chips were down last year.  As Governor, I will always Fight for the Fightin’ 9th!”

Pete is building a vast and tireless team of leaders and grassroots activists from every region of the Commonwealth and every wing of the Republican Party to advance the growing #OpenOurSchools movement and secure the Republican nomination for governor.

“Pete is the small business champion we need to get Virginia back on track. He’ll take on the corrupt politicians and clean up the mess they’ve left behind, said Delegate Jeff Campbell (R – Smyth County). “Pete is the only one in this race that can take on the Democrats in November and get Virginia leading again.”

Southwest Virginia is the prized birthplace of country music in Bristol and the crown jewel of Virginia’s state parks, but career politicians in Richmond have all but ignored #SWVA’s contributions to our Commonwealth and seem to have forgotten all about rural Virginia.

“Pete is the only one that can fight the dysfunction we have coming out of Richmond toe-to-toe. He will be tough on crime, fully fund our police, and will ensure our law enforcement get the respect they deserve,” said Sheriff Jason Ramsey (Bland County). “I’m proud to endorse Pete to be the next governor of Virginia; he’s the right person for the job.”

These leaders join Southwest Virginia’s Pete Snyder for Governor Campaign Co-Chair Delegate Israel O’Quinn (R – Washington County). Delegate Campbell and Sheriff Ramsey are joined by more than 20 other Southwest Virginia conservative leaders including:

Adam Kidd, member Bland County Board of Supervisors and Bland County GOP Chair
