“Let ‘Em Play!” Pete Snyder Responds To Northam’s Continued Restrictions On Youth Sports, Spectators

Snyder urges a return to 100 percent capacity for outdoor youth sports

Charlottesville, VA – Conservative outsider and Republican candidate for governor of Virginia Pete Snyder stands with students and parents urging Northam to drop his restrictions on outdoor youth sports and those allowed to watch.

“Closed schools and closed sports do more than just stunt learning — it robs our children of the benefits of high school athletics. This is why I’m urging Northam to drop his arbitrary, unscientific limits on those who can participate in youth sports,” said Pete Snyder. “Northam is denying the science that shows it is safe for family members, the band, and cheerleaders to participate and watch outdoor youth sports. Let’s open our schools now, five days a week, and let our students participate in youth sports. Let ’em play!”

This week, Pete launched his #OpenOurSchools Pledge, urging other statewide candidates to sign the pledge and join Pete in calling for our schools to open now, five days a week, with a teacher in every classroom.
