Pete Snyder Responds to Northam’s Weak Call to Open Schools

Snyder states position is five days a week in school with teachers in the classroom

Charlottesville, VA – Conservative outsider and Republican candidate for governor Pete Snyder released the following statement responding to Governor Ralph Northam’s announcement on schools:

Snyder said, “It is sad Ralph Northam continues to ignore the calls from thousands of parents, including myself, who are fighting to open our schools. Parents demand five days a week in school with teachers in the classroom— the CDC agrees. Ralph Northam continues to show no leadership. His half-hearted plan is an insult to parents, teachers and students who want to be back in the classroom.”

Pete also recently slammed extremist Democrats and special interest groups for keeping schools closed, despite the fact a recent study by the CDC found little risk of transmission in schools when appropriate precautions like masks and distancing are utilized. The researchers concluded, “There has been little evidence that schools have contributed meaningfully to increased community transmission.”
