Pete Says “No More Idiotic Tax Hikes in the Middle of a Pandemic.” Promises a Return to Common Sense and Fiscal Sanity
Charlottesville, VA – Conservative outsider and Republican candidate for governor Pete Snyder signed the Americans for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection Pledge today.
The pledge is a very simple promise to Virginia taxpayers – “I will oppose and veto any and all efforts to increase taxes. We are in the middle of a pandemic and the absolute last thing hard working families need are more taxes and more regulation by the career politicians and extremists who are running our Commonwealth in Richmond right now,” said Snyder.
“As even a Democratic state Senator has stated if you look at the priorities of the General Assembly this year, you would have no idea we are in the middle of a pandemic and an economic crisis. These extremists even passed a tax hike last year in the middle of this crisis and threatened to raise our state income tax this year while they still had no real plan to open our schools. Enough is enough. It’s time to bring some common sense and fiscal sanity back to Richmond.”
Snyder continued, “When I’m Governor, I will make Virginia lead again by creating jobs and opportunities to keep our brightest minds in the Commonwealth. That starts with restoring our place as the best state in the nation to start and grow a small business.”
